As the artist herself has stated, her illustrative works are not mere figures, but are fully-developed characters with their own stories. This richness renders the illustrations visually compelling for consumers and designers alike. For her creation of characters for the children’s line of products of the natural pharmaceuticals company Apivita (Greece), Carmen La Griega has received the following awards and distinctions.
2011- Silver Medal European Design Award for the packaging of Apivita Kids
– Best of the Best International Design Red Dot Awards
– EVGE Award for Apivita Kids. Greek awards for distinction in graphic design and illustration
2003 – Distinction for the Packaging of Aromatherapy
– New York festival and London International Advertising award
